With a courtyard garden perfect for alfresco dining and spa facilities galore, Mill End is the perfect place to stay, play, study, relax or quietly party! For bigger groups, special celebrations or single bed occupancy, we link in with the cottage next door and a coach house up the lane (19 bedrooms) and we offer in-house dance classes, cocktails, catering and entertainment from our little sister business Bordello Banquets, based in Bristol.  Our minimum booking is for up to 25 guests over 10 bedrooms, and the base price is £3,500.00 for 2 nights, with January, February, March and early December dropping to a base rate of £3,000.00.  Bank Holidays are 3 night stays only at a base price of £4,050 and Christmas and New Year are £6,000.00.  For smaller groups who want catering as part of their weekend away we can negotiate down a bit on the house hire. The Medieval country house is in the welcoming village of Mitcheldean, six miles from Ross-on-Wye & within easy reach of the cathedral city of Gloucester. Buses come from Gloucester train station and stop in the centre of the village. It's the perfect choice for your family reunion, anniversary celebration or fun hen weekend as Mill End is choc full of art, games, toys, books, catering facilities etc but there is also plenty to see & do within a small radius.

Mill End has taken us 20 years to convert and we love it. We also run a successful events & catering business (www.bordellobanquets.co.uk). We can help co-host or theme your gathering, be it activities for team building, therapists for a wellness retreat, hen party packages, private dining, pizza oven hire or fresh pasta making. There is a small supermarket, fish & chip shop, pub & pharmacy within walking distance. All supermarkets deliver, & you can arrange for some meals to be catered in-house if you're planning a special meal, want the luxury of having someone cook for you or would like slow cooked supper or graze tables on the night of arrival so no-one has to panic about cooking for everyone!  We do not allow outside caterers to use our facilities.

Mitcheldean is a quiet, friendly village, convenient for some of the region's favourite sights & attractions. The Forest of Dean is a great place for walking & mountain biking. You can hire bikes locally or if you bring your own, wash and store them securely at Mill End. Kayaking & fishing on the River Wye are also popular, as are golf, gorge walking, horse riding & abseiling. Local attractions include Puzzlewood, Clearwell Caves, Gloucester Cathedral, & Chepstow Castle. You don't have to leave the privacy & comfort of Mill End to have a fantastic holiday. Its wonderful garden is perfect for fun & games, & with its infra red sauna, steam sauna shower cabin, hot tub, cold water immersion barrel & treatment room, you can indulge in a pampering weekend. There is also a cocktail bar, 3 door drinks chiller and pool table. We offer themed dinner tables with vintage china hire, fabulous hen party weekends, murder mystery, dance classes, yoga and outdoor activities such as shooting, kayaking, SUP paddleboarding or gorge walking and raft building.

Mill End has flexible accommodation , with parts of the house locked off for smaller groups and for hire for larger groupswith a cottage next door also owned by Zoff Liz's husband. Please enquire for groups over 25.

Mill End is a collection of three properties that have been knocked through to create one spacious holiday home with a flexible layout that can be tweaked to suit your group size & budget needs & offers accommodation between 20 & 34 guests over 10 to 14 bedrooms. Plus the cottage next door.  NB minimum hire is £3,500.00 apart from £3,000.00 in January, February, March and early December.

Outside: Guests have a landscaped garden with a sheltered barbecue area, children's play equipment & off-street parking.  We charge for the BBQ (£50) for gas and to strip it down and clean it after guests)

Additional Information: Utilities, WiFi, bed linen and bath towels are included. Guests will need to bring cot bedding if it is required. Smoking is permitted outside & dogs are allowed at £25.00 per dog to deep clean & flea bomb the house between four legged guests.

Please note: Mill End is in a quiet village location and so is not suitable for DJ’s/decks. We operate a hot tub curfew of 10.00pm and a garden curfew of 12.00 midnight. No music is to be played outside as we need to respect the privacy of our neighbours.
