We had a lovely few days away in the Forest of Dean.The cottage was in a quiet location right on the edge of the forest for nice walks which was just what we were looking for.it was a short drive to visit local areas and a short walk to the local pub who were very friendly.There’s a well equipped kitchen,home from home and the cottage was very cosy when the fire was lit especially as it was so cold outside.Just a couple of negatives,the bathroom was very dated and no water pressure at all in the shower and when eating in the kitchen very drafty from the back door area but a great time had by all of us thankyou.

This is one of the best holiday cottages my partner and I have stayed in (and there have been many!) It’s a spacious, comfortable house with everything you need to feel at home. The attractive décor, furnishings, artworks and artefacts give the place character without making it feel cluttered. As someone who cooks a lot, I appreciated the well-equipped kitchen (no old scratched non-stick pans or blunt knives!) and gas hob. We barely used the car during our stay; you can walk right into enchanted, ancient woodland from the end of the driveway. The house felt secluded, even though it’s just a short drive to the A48. There are so many good points to this house that I couldn’t possibly list them all; all I can say is that we absolutely loved it, plan to return, and recommend it wholeheartedly.
