We had an absolutely fantastic stay in a spacious and high-quality cabin, booked last minute due to an incoming heatwave—and we couldn't have asked for more. The weather was just as expected, but the accommodation exceeded all expectations. We travelled as a family of four with our small dog, and the cabin was ideal. The secure decking and small garden gave us peace of mind, especially during the hotter days when we were trying to keep our dog cool. The cabin itself was incredibly spacious, very well-equipped, and clearly designed with comfort and practicality in mind.Despite the heat (which made most places feel warm), the cabin remained comfortable. We arrived late on a Friday evening around 10:30pm, but thanks to the keycode entry system and the two parking spaces right outside, we were unpacked and settled in within minutes—super convenient after a long journey. You can really tell that a lot of thought has gone into the layout of both the cabin and the wider site. It felt private, peaceful, and perfectly spaced. The hot tub was a brilliant bonus and our kids loved it—though, with the heatwave, we couldn’t stay in too long! I’m sure in typical British weather it would be perfect all year round.Local amenities are only a short drive away, with everything from M&S to Lidl nearby. The location itself is a great base for both adventure-packed days and more relaxed ones. Whether you're hiking, exploring, or just unwinding, it's incredibly flexible. The welcome booklet provided was also a lovely touch, filled with helpful and practical info—especially useful for those of us who like to figure things out after arrival rather than plan every detail in advance!Although we didn’t get a chance to visit the neighbouring golf course and clubhouse, it looked like a great spot for a meal or drinks, and we’d definitely check it out next time.Anna popped by on Saturday to check everything was okay after our late arrival, which was reassuring. It’s great to know the owners are on-site if needed, but they also respect your space and let you enjoy your break in peace. All in all, it was a brilliant getaway. The high standard of accommodation, stunning surroundings, and pet-friendly setup made it ideal for all of us—including our dog. We're already planning to return with extended family and book one of the larger cabins next time.Highly recommended for families of any generation—especially those who value flexibility, comfort, and the option to bring their four-legged friend along without sacrificing quality or convenience
