You’ll never be at a loss for something to see and do in the Forest of Dean. With the natural environment, fascinating history and heritage, an array of attractions and activities are to be had here. For cycling enthusiasts the cycle trail is just 5 minutes from Forest Walk. There are an array of activities and days out to be had, such as Symonds Yat rock, Puzzlewood, Clearwell Caves, and Coleford has its own Great Western Railway Museum. The cottage provides the perfect location for visitors with pets. The River Severn, 4 miles, Dean Heritage Centre, Dean Forest Railway and Tintern Abbey are all nearby. There is good fishing, rspb reserves, riding, golf, tennis and excellent walking and cycling opportunities locally. Ross-on-Wye, Chepstow, Monmouth and the cathedral cities of Gloucester and Hereford are within easy driving distance.

A well equipped house that was like a home away from home. It was located well to be able to explore the Forest of Dean as well as the Cotswolds and Wales.The road in front of the house was busier than we were expecting but it didn't affect our stay at all. Communication with the owners was excellent and we would certainly consider staying there again.
