About this property

Resting in the picturesque town of Cinderford, on the cusp of the Royal Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, is Corner House, a fabulous five-bedroom holiday home. Both family and pet-friendly, offering flexible sleeping arrangements and an enclosed garden, whilst in proximity to local amenities and an abundance of walking trails, the property welcomes nine guests, perfect for those looking to explore an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Benefit from the well-equipped kitchen/diner and utility, perfect for keeping on top of your self-catering needs, before relaxing in the homely sitting room with the gas fire alight. Discover the rear private garden, featuring a patio, artificial lawn, plenty of seating and a barbecue, ideal for socialising and alfresco dining. Returning indoors, head upstairs to locate two double bedrooms, both well-presented and completed with TVs, whilst the master enjoys an en-suite bathroom. The remaining three bedrooms are found on the ground-floor and are serviced by a family bathroom; you'll have the choice between a double with en-suite, a twin, and a single bedroom. Once you're rested and ready to explore, enjoy the array of amenities dotted across Cinderford, including various shops, pubs, restaurants, and parkland. Surrounding your abode, you'll also find Littledean Jail Museum, Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail, Cannop Ponds, and Dean Heritage Centre, all providing a snapshot of the local heritage and countryside. A short car journey away, arrive at Clearwell Caves for an underground tour, Coleford Great Western Railway Museum, and Symonds Yat Rock, displaying a woodland cycle trail, recommended to follow for picturesque vistas. Heading into Gloucester, enjoy tours of the resident museum, visit the grand structure of Gloucester Cathedral, or take advantage of your time outdoors at Alney Island Nature Reserve, located near River Severn. Head to Gloucestershire with Corner House as the perfect base.

In the Forest of Dean, Cinderford is located in an elevation position with views of the River Severn. Cinderford is a great place to start your excursions of the region because it has a wide variety of nearby attractions, including stores, pubs, an open-air market, and a movie theatre. The majestic Royal Woodland of Dean, England's largest oak forest and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is nearby and offers a variety of trails for hiking, bicycling, and equestrian riding. For the more daring, there is caving, abseiling, and a high wire course available. In this pristine environment, fishing, golf, kayaking, and canoeing are among popular sports. Roman ruins, Victorian docklands, and a magnificent Norman Cathedral may all be found in Gloucester, a historic waterfront city, which is only a short drive away (whose cloisters were used as a location in the Harry Potter films).

2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and a further family bathroom. The house was immaculately clean and very well equipped. The host left a fabulous welcome gift of croissants' and wine. They also provided a very comprehensive folder of information about the house and the local area, this was very useful

Well equipped, good bedding and plentiful towels. Lovely area and lots of information left by the owners of things to do in the area and recommendations for eating and shopping. We loved the house and would very happily return.
