It’s a wonderfully equipped place with everything you would need for a short stay. The barn is very comfortable , bright and warm. We arrived on a wet and cold afternoon, but the barn was lovely to walk into. The owners very kindly brought us extra kindling and fire lighters, but the weather gods smiled on us and the remainder of our stay was sunny and dry, so we didn’t need to use them. There was a lovely hamper (with dog snacks included) and milk in the fridge on our arrival. The wooded grounds are great for dogs and there are lots of public footpaths nearby. The local pub, which is not far away, serves delicious food and is dog friendly. The owners were really good at keeping in touch by email, just to check that everything was okay on our arrival and were quick to respond to any messages. We would thoroughly recommend Thatchers Barn: the bar has been set high for our next location.

A great location, very quiet. Property needs more crockery, we frequently had to wash up mugs and plates rather than run out during the day. Sofa not comfy - too low and need to be deeper. Not enough storage space in bedroom (with bath) and no surface space in bedroom (with shower).
