A charming historic property dating to 1816 and located in the outskirts of a traditional Dorset village of Sutton Poyntz, near Weymouth, is a delight for those wishing for a quiet holiday location.

Modern and stylish home still has some old features as chapel windows and flagstone flooring in the hallway, which makes the property stand out. It marries a unique exterior with internal standard that our guests are looking for. Wood-burning stove in an exposed brick fireplace alongside a range cooker and exposed beams you may think you travelled back in time if not the modern equipment surrounding you.

Two bedrooms in the property have the most comfortable beds for a good night’s sleep after an exploration of the area.

The guests with children will enjoy a visit to The Springhead pub with lovely outside seating and a good food coupled with family atmosphere and a nearby duck pond will melt little one’s hearts for sure.

A local shop is a few minutes from the property, so you don’t need to worry about most necessary supplies. The town centre of Weymouth is a few minutes’ drive from the property with a variety of shops and supermarkets to choose from.

Sutton Poyntz is surrounded by a wonderful rolling Dorset countryside and coastal walks. You may want to venture East and visit the popular attractions of Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, or drive inland and visit a county town of Dorchester. The fossil enthusiasts paradise Charmouth and Lyme Regis are a short drive away too.

The Old Chapel is a beautiful property in a small village and will suit those wanting a quieter holiday still close to beaches and countryside. In the front garden there is an outside seating area with an outside log burner if you would like to use this.

Sutton Poyntz is a pretty village on the northern side of Preston, Weymouth, Sitting beneath the George III chalk horse that is carved into the hillside. At the centre of the village sits a beautiful duck pond, and the Spring head pub, where you can enjoy a drink in the pub gardens whilst admiring the chalk horse carving. Just 3.5 miles from Weymouth and it’s golden sandy beach, lanes of boutique shops, sea life centre and historic harbour this is a perfect village base for exploring the Jurassic Coast. Just 13 miles away are the unesco world Heritage sites of Lulworth Cove and Durdle, a short drive further on finds you are Corfe Castle, most recently famous as the inspiration in many Enid Blyton Famous five novels, make sure you take a trip on the Steam train.
