These meals can be enjoyed as a romantic meal for two at the nearby dining table whilst you discuss the day's events; why not open a bottle of fizz to toast to this restful escape to Dorset? After dinner, head to the sitting area, a space that is perfect for relaxing, with a TV to catch up on our favourite shows. Head to bed in the king-size bedroom, which not only features a zip/link bed but offers a remote-controlled lighting that is ideal for when you want to create the perfect mood; the clever hanging space is a useful addition. Head outside to find the verdant garden that enjoys access to a field, where different walks can be enjoyed along the idyllic river Wey in to Weymouth or join up with the South Dorset Ridgeway . Get acquainted with Upwey and visit one of the friendly pubs in the area, such as The Royal Standard or the Upwey Wishing Well and Gardens for a daytime cream tea treat. You may wish to venture a little further afield to the Came Down Golf Club for a game of 18-holes! Catch the train, bus or drive to the nearby seaside town of Weymouth, where the gorgeous sands of Weymouth Beach, the fantastic sights of RSPB Lodmoor and Radipole Lake, as well as a plethora of attractions, such as the Nothe Fort or historic harbour and Georgian seafront, are waiting to be discovered. Travel across the Dorset AONB to Dorchester market town, a town boasting access to a range of fantastic museums, including the Dorset Teddy Bear Museum and the Roman Town House, as well as the fascinating attraction of Kingston Maurward Animal Park and Gardens. Spend more time along the coast by spending the day on the Isle of Portland, with its fantastic sights and beaches, or explore the AONB to find a range of outdoor havens and picturesque towns and villages, including Bridport.
