Seagull & Chips is a beautiful two-storey apartment set in the heart of Weymouth, Dorset. Situated just seconds from the town’s famous seafront Esplanade and award-winning beach, it’s ideal for families or friends seeking a seaside break. As well as the beach, Weymouth’s shops, lively pubs, restaurants, marina and picturesque harbour are all within a short walking distance.

The heart of the apartment is the living and dining room, a welcoming space that sets a relaxed tone for your stay. The grand Victorian bay window fills the room with light and a built-in window seat offers a spot to sit with a coffee and watch the world outside (while slimline double glazing helps provide extra peace and tranquility). A corner sofa provides an inviting place for evenings spent chatting or watching the TV, while the dining table is ready for shared meals, games, or planning your next day’s adventure.

The well-appointed kitchen is directly off the lounge-diner, and is set up to make self-catering simple and sociable, whether you are starting the day with toast and a fresh coffee, or preparing a delicious evening meal.

The bedrooms are comfortable retreats, with the spacious master double on the top floor providing a king-sized bed, ample clothes hanging and drawer space and a foldable luggage rack.

The second bedroom (on the lower floor) is a twin room, so would suit children or friends sharing. Clothes-hanging space is also provided in this bedroom.

The bathroom includes both a bath and a shower, as well as plenty of storage space.

Temporary parking for up to one hour is available directly outside the property – spaces permitting – giving you time to unload if arriving by car.

Weymouth itself is easy to explore on foot, with shops nearby for essentials, and a wealth of pubs and restaurants for relaxed meals out. The beach is close enough for early-morning dips, gentle walks, or evenings watching the light fade, while the esplanade features cafés, shops and amusements to keep kids (and adults!) entertained.

Weymouth’s bustling harbour offers pubs, restaurants, cafés and plenty of attractions, from trips on the row-boat ferry and fishing excursions to theatre performances in the Pavilion or a visit to the historic Nothe Fort and gardens.

Surrounding the town is the gorgeous countryside of the Dorset National Landscape – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Further afield, Dorset offers a variety of great days out, including the Jurassic Coast, Dorchester’s monumental Maiden Castle iron-age fort, Bournemouth’s Oceanarium and traditional pier attractions, Corfe Castle and the Purbeck Line heritage railway, Durdle Door or Wareham’s Monkey World, to name but a few.

Alternatively, just head down to West Bay - the views of the stunning Dorset Heritage Coastline are not to be missed!
