Guests say

Footprint is a well-located cottage in Weymouth, appreciated for its proximity to the town centre, harbour, and amenities. Guests have found it comfortable and generally clean, with a peaceful setting ideal for a relaxing break. The secure parking is a bonus, although space may be tight for larger vehicles. Some guests mentioned a welcome pack, adding a touch of thoughtfulness to their stay.

Most guests reported the cottage as very clean, with a few noting it could be improved, particularly under furniture and in the kitchen. The floors were mentioned as needing mopping, and some guests found pet hair on carpets.

The location is highly praised for being close to the harbour, town centre, and dining options, making it an ideal spot for exploring Weymouth. Its proximity to amenities and attractions is a consistent highlight in guest reviews.

The cottage is generally found to be comfortable, with a spacious main bedroom and living area. However, some guests found the second bedroom small and the mattresses in need of replacement, which affected the comfort score.

Facilities are well-regarded, with a well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of secure parking. However, some guests noted issues with Wi-Fi, radiator valves, and the en-suite shower size. Maintenance concerns, such as a loose pillar outside and kitchen wear, were also mentioned.

While some guests mentioned a welcome pack, which suggests thoughtfulness, there is not enough consistent information across reviews to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed.

The cottage had been redecorated and kitchen revamped since our last stay and it looked much better. The welcome box was lovely to find and a pint of milk which was great. The cottage is ideal for exploring the harbour, nothe fort and Newtons cove all within 5 mins or so walking. Our stay was comfortable but we did find the walls between the cottage not great soundproofing! A few negatives, pillows are in real need of being replaced on the main king size bed, totally worn out and pillow protectors on the twin beds were stained. A bread board is needed in the kitchen. Our big negative point is lack of recycling. We resulted in taking cans, plastic and glass to the recycling bins on the sea front. Local Asda had no banks for cans, glass or plastic. We've stayed in many cottages and recycling has always been part of the cottage's instructions. Apart from that we love Weymouth and would stay again at Footsteps.
