Explore the town, where you can enjoy wildlife rich walks through the RSPB Radipole Lake, spend a day on the golden sands of Weymouth Beach, catch a live performance at the Weymouth Pavilion, visit the historic Nothe Fort, meet the local marine life at the sea life centre, stock up on essentials at the well-stocked convenience stores and supermarkets, or treat your loved ones to a delicious meal at Enzo Ristorante & Pizzeria, Rockfish or The George Bar & Grill. Weymouth is an excellent vacation spot any time of year because of the large range of activities and attractions available, which are fun for people of all ages and interests. Fishing expeditions leave regularly from the attractive, bustling harbour, and the beautiful, golden beaches are equipped with everything you could want for a day at the beach. Portland Harbour and the mountainous "Isle" of Portland are just a short drive away, connected to Weymouth by the breathtaking Chesil Beach. Take a trip to nearby Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens or venture to nearby Dorchester, Thomas Hardy's "Casterbridge," located about 7 miles away. A second option is to just visit West Bay, where you will be treated to breathtaking vistas of the Dorset Heritage Coast.
