Snaptrip says

Castle Cove Cottage in Weymouth offers stunning bay views and beach access, with guests praising its location and cleanliness. While some found the property well-equipped and comfortable, ongoing building work has been a notable disruption. The property's maintenance, particularly the fridge and en-suite facilities, has room for improvement.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property generally received positive remarks about its cleanliness, with mentions of it being clean and comfortable. However, there were isolated complaints about cobwebs and an unpleasant smell in one of the toilets, slightly lowering the score.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, harbour, and local attractions. The views are consistently described as amazing, despite some views being partially obstructed by nearby construction.

Guests found the house comfortable and well-furnished with towels and bedding. However, there were comments about the need for more storage in the main bedroom and issues with a noisy fan, which suggest room for improvement in comfort.

Facilities like the washing machine and kitchen products were appreciated, but several guests reported problems with the fridge and TV reception. Ongoing building work also disrupted the use of outdoor spaces, affecting the overall experience.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owners or managers, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The negatives were still building work going on both sides of property even though I was told on ringing Sykes that the major work was done and there shouldn’t be any noise … there was . The other problem was with the TV …..It only worked by streaming and occasionally the Wi-Fi dropped out , making it very frustrating.

! Hammering, drilling, grinders going on from 8am till 5pm! Roof tiling going on till 7.30! Scaffolding so big you could not use the bedroom balcony and dangerous sitting in the garden as tile hooks falling down! Also scaffolding and noisy on the other neighbouring side, heavy trucks going up and down the street all the time! Even when you tried to escape to the beach, more building work going on! We had to leave the property early as could not stand it any longer! I can't understand how this property can be let out, it has been a nightmare! When some building work was advertised, I didn't think i would be having my hard earned holiday on a building site! Absolutely gutted and now feeling so sad.
