The cleanliness of the sink in the kitchen was not good not really clean and it had left over food from previous guest The toilets could doing with cleaning better as the bowl where stained using a good haptic tablet and clean combination would get that off easily The plumbing in the en-suite was poor as the shower did not drain well and the toilet did not alway drain when flushed it would take 2 flushes and we had to unblock the toilet the first few days of the stay and the fact there was a plugger next to toilets was not a good sign when we arrived the toilet in the main bathroom the flush was running and we sorted that out There also cobwebs in parts of the flat

.. Amazing location for the walk to the beach, esplanade, fun fair / arcade & harbour etc, so cant fault it. Unfortunately though, the apartment is located on a very busy road (Commercial Road), therefore you get a lot of traffic noise and Weymouth seems to have its fair share of boy racers in noisy cars and bikes!... Additionally, there were several "scuffles" by groups of people outside the, I think Bethnal Hall building, resulting in police presence which faced (opposite) the dining room area.

We LOVED the flat and would have liked to return year in year out. My Grandaughter was on tears, she wanted to live there. I love the brightness of the flat, the space, everything. I would have given it 5 stars for everything. Two things let it down one to the point that I would not recommend the flat or return myself! The first is that, although the flat was acceptably clean, my husband found faecal matter all over the area of the toilet pan where the seat/hinge joins it. I’m not talking about a tiny amount, enough to feel a bit sickened. We had to go out and get some disinfectant (I had cloths and gloves thankfully) this was the main bathroom. The en suite was fine. However, the thing that ruined the flat or me is the toilet in the en suite, it doesn’t flush properly, you don’t get a cistern load of water rush down like a normal loo, you get a slow dribble! Meaning matter sitting in the bottom of the loo for days! Nothing would get rid of it. I found a mop bucket and tried dumping a load of water in the toilet but it doesn’t push anything away as it filled the pan with the water to the very top and then tricked slowly past the offending ‘parcel’ for want of a better word. We had to all use the other toilet, which equally didn’t flush brilliantly but was better than the en suite! A few days later when it had finally gone, my husband filled the sink in the en suite with water to wash his face and when he pulled the plug, ‘brown matter’ came back up into the toilet pan!! Ewwww disgusting! I also have to say the beds just weren’t very comfortable! That could do with upgrading even the kids complained they weren’t comfortable! I know your reply I’ll be that why didn’t I call you about the toilet, but my husband said there was no point as it’s a design fault of the toilet and the waste pipe not allowing a bucket of water to be flushed away. So no point calling you. The en suite even had a plunger in the bathroom (which we tried but that still didn’t clear the problem, so Sykes and the owners are well aware of this fault with the flat. It’s such a shame as the flat really is more than I could have wished for. Oh and please let people know that there is a Nespresso machine in the kitchen, I would have taken some pods if I’d known.
