The cleanliness of the house fell short of our expectations, with food crumbs in the cutlery drawers, stray hairs in the shower, and an overall grubby atmosphere throughout. This was quite disappointing given our anticipation of renting a clean and well-maintained house for the week. Regrettably, we couldn't fully enjoy the outside garden area due to its limited seating; only two chairs were available, and the space was cluttered. The top floor, housing the two bedrooms, proved to be a challenge. The rooms were exceedingly small, lacking sufficient space for us to unpack our clothes. There were no wardrobes or drawers in the bedrooms, which was inconvenient for four people sharing the cramped quarters. We resorted to sharing a few drawers in the hallway, but some of them contained personal items belonging to the owners. It seemed rather odd, especially considering that the master bedroom had ample unused space. The ensuite showers in each room were in poor condition, and we encountered consistent issues with regulating the water temperature. To add to our inconvenience, the curtains in the living room fell down twice during our stay, though we managed to rehang them. The same mishap occurred in the master bedroom. Furthermore, the toilet in the large bathroom developed a chain issue the day before our departure. Fortunately, we reached out to someone, and they promptly arrived within an hour to provide a temporary fix, which was appreciated. Our main challenge during the stay revolved around the lack of storage space due to the presence of numerous personal items throughout the house. We were unaware that this was someone's primary residence rather than a dedicated holiday cottage, which somewhat impacted our overall experience.

It’s location is very good, being only a few minutes walk from the beach but in a quiet street that allows for a restful break away. Free parking can be found in streets around 5 mins walk away. The house is in good condition but the cleanliness could be much improved. Each room has its own shower but those on the top floor do not work properly. The open plan living room was excellent for our family of 4 adults and 2 small children. However, the gas hob in the kitchen was filthy and the oven not much better. The microwave door was smeared and not clean either. The whole place felt as if the cleaners came, changed bed sheets added towels(small and overused), did very little else and left. Weymouth is a very popular UK summer holiday destination and obviously turn around days at weekends are super busy, but for a summer rental at this price, the cleanliness is vital. We stayed 10 days - the bin bags should have been collected from the very small outside space at least once during that time and an overall clean thrown in after a week’s stay.
