Snaptrip says

Spring Rose Cottage in Portland is highly praised for its comfort, prime location near Chesil Beach, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, cosy decor, and thoughtful touches, although some mention parking challenges and minor cleanliness issues. The cottage's charm, coupled with the owner's helpful communication, contributes to a welcoming and enjoyable stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage to be very clean, with well-stocked basic amenities. However, a few guests mentioned issues such as sticky kitchen worktops, a dirty oven, and the need to clear up after previous occupants, which slightly impacted the overall cleanliness perception.

The cottage's location is frequently highlighted as perfect, with proximity to the beach, local shops, and attractions. Despite some concerns about parking and steep terrain, the scenic views and accessibility to nearby points of interest are greatly appreciated.

Guests consistently describe their stays as comfortable, with special mentions of blissful beds and a cosy wood burning stove. The presence of a stair gate and throws for settees also contributed to the comfort level, although there were a few remarks about less comfortable IKEA furniture.

The cottage is well-equipped for guests, with a wood burning stove, games, books, and outdoor spaces. Some guests encountered minor issues with kitchen equipment and maintenance of outdoor decking, but overall, the facilities met the needs of the visitors.

While many reviews mention thoughtful gestures and a well-thought-out layout, there are no specific references to gifts provided by the host. Therefore, it is not possible to score this category accurately, and guests should not expect gifts as part of their stay.

Only criticism would be how noisy the floors and stairs are.

The cottage was clean, very well equipped and spacious, making the perfect base to explore Portland and all it has to offer. Great communication from the host who clearly values her guests, highly recommend this property.

Cottage itself had everything you expect. Beautifully present and clean. Location is fantastic. So much to explore on this beautiful island. All family had brilliant time. Loads of walks and things to see. Car park was a bit of a challenge on arrival. Nevertheless there is plenty of spaces to park your car on streets nearby. 100% recommend it. Thank you.
