Veneze offers a perfect holiday house for guests who would like a large and comfortable home from home with the rare benefit of your own private heated indoor swimming pool.  This detached property has a Mediterranean feel, with villa style archways and ground floor accommodation.  Situated in Preston, on the outskirts of Weymouth in Dorset, the cottage is perfect not only for all that Weymouth has to offer, but also for exploring Dorset's Jurassic Coast and the traditional villages nearby.  Around a mile away at Overcombe is the start of Weymouth beach which spans another two miles of pebbles, then shingle, then fine golden sand ideal for making sand castles.  Here during the summer season you can find Punch and Judy, donkey rides and ice cream kiosks.  A walk along the shore during cooler months allows the sound of the waves and seabirds chatting to fill your ears.  A short drive to the east is Durdle Door - a magnificent and much photographed rock formation, rising majestically from the sea.  Lulworth Cove, a few minutes further is a beautiful cove, with often perfectly blue waters.  From here water based activities, such as kayaking, can be booked.  Very near to Veneze there are wonderful countryside walks and bike rides.  However, for guests choosing to spend days at Veneze itself, you may wish to enjoy an early morning dip in the swimming pool.  Take coffee on the patio area.  In the afternoon why not see who is the most skilled with a cue out of your family and friends via the pool table in the conservatory, or have a picnic in the sun on the long lawned garden area.  Relax in the evening after a long day enjoying yourselves in the comfortable and cosy lounge area.  There are plenty of ways to enjoy spending your days when visiting Veneze, all of which are just a few minutes' drive away; from visiting Weymouth Sealife Adventure Park and Lodmoor Country Park, to fishing at Bowleaze Cove and exploring Weymouth Town.  With so many options for spending your holiday when staying at Veneze, you might not fit it all in and may choose to book a return trip!

Please note that the swimming pool is unsupervised and is therefore used at your own risk.The heated swimming pool will be closed daily from 11am - 12pm for essential pool maintenance (weekdays only except bank holidays). Please also be aware gardeners will be attending the property intermittently throughout the year for essential garden maintenance.
