    About this property

This popular property with its own patio and stunning views that stretch out across Weymouth Bay to the island of Portland.
With a snug and calm sitting room that is combined with kitchen you will find you can relax after cooking a tasty meal and enjoy the beautiful views from the patio. Snuggle down and get well rested in the comfy first floor double ensuite bedroom and ground floor twin room with shower room ready for another day by the seaside.
Enjoy an alfresco dining opportunity on the patio, and watch the waves crash on the beach. For those more adventurous and looking for something new to try and burn all the energy, then why not try the various water sports, such as kite surfing, with local centres close by.
Walk along the esplanade which starts almost outside the front or Sea Spray and find yourself in Weymouth town centre and the main beach. This is a nice leisurely walk of about about a mile away. You will have lots of places to choose from to eat and plenty of shops to browse from high street fashions to local boutique businesses. If you fancy staying more local to the property there is the Harvester and, on the doorstep, the Oasis cafe. A convenience store is just a moments’ walk away. Don’t forget to explore more of Dorset, with local buses running nearby to Dorchester, Lyme Regis and Bridport, they are a great way to take in the coastal scenery. Or if you prefer to drive, they are all under a hour away.
A perfect base for a couple or small family, with other properties being so close they are ideal for extended family or friends holidaying together.

Bowleaze is just behind Bowleaze Cove that is seated at the end of Weymouth’s long 3-mile beach front perched on the edge of Preston. A small sand and shingle beach is a popular choice for those who like to use Jet Ski’s as it’s one of the few areas on the beach front they can be used freely. A popular area of Weymouth offering beautiful views back towards Weymouth and Portland whilst only being a short distance from the main beach and town centre. There are many places to eat and you can join the south west coast path towards Osmington Mills, Ringstead and beyond from here. Predominantly a residential area, it’s perfect those who want to escape to the seaside but retain the tranquillity of a residential area.

" It would be ok for 2 adults and two children, we had to rearrange the furniture the best we could including the single beds down stairs ! Which was very cramped for two elderly people! Also found soiled tissues under one of the beds! The settee wants taking to the tip. Very disappointed for the price!! "

" I would stay again if items below fixed. Shower door upstairs wasn't sealing at the bottom so water leaked when showering. Fridge door had dropped so was hard to close. Seating area isn't very comfortable for a relaxed evening. Parking space very small for our van. Good holiday made better by the weather. "
    Mr Maberley ‐ 1 May 2021
" The only other thing I would say is that the seating downstairs is also not very comfortable, this has been commented on by several over guests on several review sites. "
    Mr Stelmach ‐ 1 May 2021
" Very clean. New picnic table outside. Your listing didn’t include the hairdryer in the dressing table or the access ramp at the end of the car park to reach the path to the front door. Great view across Weymouth Bay to Portland. Easy drive in and out, avoiding Town centre. Convenience store and post office about 400 yards away. Oasis Cafe is good for beverages and snacks. The bath and shower would benefit from grab handles as they become slippery. Property would be cramped with 4 adults, but better if outdoor dining is possible in the summer. Parking is tight with a large car in the allocated space. WiFi is good; the router is in a neighbouring property, but the access SSID and password are in the information pack. Netflix and Prime are accessible on the lounge TV if you hold accounts with those. The site allows easy drives to Portland Bill, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove and Lyme Regis. Should we visit this area again, we would be happy to rebook. "

" Booked again for next year "

" i thought it a little expensive for what it was, going in after 5pm was no problem but not sure about it being deep cleaned.Having such a nice place in north yorkshire last year we would like to book through if we go away next year.regards b.postlethwaite. "

" On closer inspection, there were a number of cleaning issues which led me to believe that this cottage had definitely not been deep cleaned, which during a pandemic, was a worry. The shower downstairs dripped constantly, and had been mentioned in previous week's feedback. There was no numbered dustbin outside, also mentioned in previous feedback. The lounge seating was very uncomfortable. We had a good holiday, but it could have been made better with a bit more work on this property. "
    Mrs Beeby
" the living accommodation, along with the Kitchen area is extremely small. the way the furniture is set out, especially the sofa makes it difficult to watch the TV. I would also like to suggest that a small fence separates the outside area from the next door as there is no private space. Upon arrival, we noticed a very large crack in the downstairs toilet seat. We reported this immediately and it was rectified within two days. The front of the property and all properties needs some attention as there is fencing surrounding the wall which appears to not be complete. We also mentioned the lack of anhy bin facilities (no28), which wasn't rectified and we were informed this was a council issue. We cannot have been the only people who have stayed there that have complained about lack of council bins. Would definitely not stop there again due to the price and issues as mentioned., On a positive note, it is situated in a nice area with views. "

" Fantastic location and well suited accommodation for our needs. "
    Mr Spencer
" Its nice to see that past feedback has had an affect, ie, a new sofa and tv in lounge area. The bedroom tv might as well not be there, its dated and although there's a signal booster, very few stations can be seen. The cleaner needs to go that extra step and move the sofa and clean behind it as there was stale food and dust. Our concern for the future is on looking at next year there's been a big price hike which will reluctantly make us look at other options. But we do love the place, location etc. It would be nice to hear why the prices have been raised drastically. "

"A clean and well-equipped cottage, very convenient for the fab Oasis cafe. We've been coming to Weymouth and staying in Dream Cottages properties for years and have found that they are all of a good standard - Stayed June 2016."

"Great location for a leisurely walk along the seafront into town or the harbour. Lovely views across the bay to Portland. We really enjoyed our last-minute break and hope to return soon. Stayed July 2016"

"Would have been helpful to know that is was cottage 28. Really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it."

"It quiet at night and was fine for 2 people, would be cramped in the living area for 4 people. The settee was uncomfortable as it had a low back."
    - dstel, May 2021
"Great location, with view across Weymouth Bay to Portland. The pebble beach is a very short walk away and its situation allows walks to the East or West on the beach, or to Weymouth on a promenade. Drives to Lyme Regis, Portland Bill, Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove are easily achieved ..."
    - Mrs Edwards, July 2021
"The property was perfect for a family of four. The weather was amazing when we stayed so we would eat outside looking out over the sea. It was very clean and had everything you needed in the kitchen. My only suggestion would be to get black out curtains for the bedrooms as the current ones are very thin and let a lot of light in. I would definitely recommend this property and would book again."
    - Jane, August 2021
"I would stay again if items below fixed."
    - Mrs Bagg, September 2021
    "Outlook wonderful."
    - Ruth, September 2021
"The cutlery and mugs were looking very tired and we would have preferred a dishwasher as opposed to a freezer. The fridge door requires a tweak as it didn’t always remain closed. Minor issues that didn’t spoil our lovely stay and wouldn’t deter us from a future booking."
