Head out on the network of footpaths nearby or jump in the car and travel to one of Dorset’s many marvellous beauty spots.

Largely open plan, the living space is great for all occasions and offers a sociable place to gather. After a moment of peace and quiet by the wood burner in the tranquil lounge, head into the kitchen to rustle up a tasty meal for everyone to enjoy together at the table. If the weather is warm, dine alfresco and enjoy the gorgeous, shared grounds, or jump in the pool for a refreshing dip before drying off with a game of football on the pitch. After a round of sundowners, head inside and climb stairs to the first floor to rest your head for the night. Boasting an en-suite bathroom and a Juliette balcony for your morning coffee in the fresh air, the master double is a gorgeous place to drift off for a peaceful sleep. The remaining two bedrooms are both great for younger guests and share the family bathroom where you can enjoy a relaxing soak in the tub before bed.

Jump in the car with a picnic packed up and head to the coast for a day in the sand and sea. The bustling resort of Weymouth (25 miles) is filled with family-friendly places to visit whilst Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove sit within 30 miles of your door. Stay closer to home and take the dog for a roam on one of the nearby paths where there are sticks to chase and scents to be sniffed or visit the local town of Sherborne with its castle and abbey.
