Delightful Heather Cottage is a wonderful thatched cottage, brimming with character and charm with clever stylish touches throughout. The accommodation is light and bright, and includes an open layout on the ground floor where you will find an entry hall and dining room as you enter through the barn door. Continue from the dining room to the cosy kitchen, which although small, is perfectly formed and ideal for preparing delicious meals and snacks. A beautiful sitting room then welcomes you, all furnished with comfortable sofas on which to relax and unwind, whilst enjoying time together, and planning your trips and adventures.

Stairs lead you up to the first floor where you will find the two generous king-size bedrooms, each warm and inviting with attractive cushions and throws, and off the hallway the shower room with walk-in enclosure can be found.

Heather Cottage is ideal for friends or couples who are looking to relax and enjoy a special break near the coast in Dorset. The cottage conveniently sits within a courtyard of attractive thatched cottages, and has parking directly outside. The popular village of Osmington invites you to stroll and view the picturesque cottages and views up to the Ridgeway, and is well located for excellent walks in all directions. A pleasant stroll down to Osmington Mills affords an opportunity to enjoy the panoramic views across Weymouth Bay and to the Isle of Portland, and access to the coastal path.

Neighbouring Weymouth with its famous sandy beach, and historic harbour is a must for a day out, and the county town of Dorchester with its museums, cinemas, shops and restaurants is just 15 minutes away. The famous artist John Constable spent his honeymoon here in 1816 during which time he completed his painting of Weymouth Bay which now hangs in the National Gallery in London. Carved into the hillside near the village, is a figure of King George III on horseback, with the chalk figure showing the King riding his horse Adonis which was cut into the ground to commemorate the Royal visits to Weymouth and the prosperity they brought to the area.

Whether you are looking for a base for your Dorset adventures, or a cosy retreat in which to relax and unwind, Heather Cottage is the perfect choice for up to four guests.
