The Orchard Country House is a spacious and well-equipped property ideal for large gatherings, offering ample communal space, en-suite bedrooms, and a well-stocked kitchen. Guests have praised the property's cleanliness and warm atmosphere, with special thanks to the diligent cleaning team. While some guests noted the decor is dated and in need of refurbishment, the house's charm and the area's suitability for walking and family activities have been appreciated. The property's location in Devon provides a peaceful setting with proximity to local attractions.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The property consistently receives high praise for its cleanliness, with multiple reviews commending the cleaning team's excellent work. However, a few guests mentioned finding dust and rubbish in some areas, slightly affecting the overall perception.

The property's location in Devon is appreciated for its quietness and proximity to walking areas and local attractions like Lyme Regis. However, some guests mentioned the need for a car to explore the area, indicating a slightly remote location.

Guests find the property warm and comfortable, with plenty of space for large groups. However, comments about hard mattresses, dated decor, and the need for better sound-proofing and thicker curtains suggest that comfort could be enhanced.

The property is well-equipped, particularly the kitchen, and guests are pleased with the en-suite bedrooms. Nonetheless, there are several mentions of maintenance issues, such as slow showers, water pressure problems, and the need for refurbishment, indicating room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While some guests have mentioned a welcome pack of goodies, there is not enough information to determine if this is a consistent offering or a one-off occurrence. Therefore, it is politely noted that such thoughtful gestures are not guaranteed.

Paintwork in places was bad. Settees were not comfortable especially the ones by the TV. The worst thing was that nearly all the bedrooms had no heating - it was just as well it wasn't frosty.

The property is only on average condition and we were not asked to photograph and note any such issues. Poorly dealt with by Sykes as well. While we would love to return we are looking elsewhere as this left the whole party feeling like we were liars.

Super kitchen facilities. Could do with a bit of updating in places I have recommended it to my friends it is very good site for people visiting the area would certainly use again .
