Be welcomed into this wonderful property by an inviting sitting room, where tasteful grey furniture, shelves set into archways in the walls, and wooden flooring add a taste of opulence, creating a space where you will be delighted to recline and plan the day ahead of you and where you will find a glass door with access to the rear garden. When mealtimes call, a kitchen with ample amenities encourages you to cook up a storm, and you can serve your masterpiece in the dining area where a conservatory roof and snug offer light, seating and a view across the garden. As the evening wears on, find yourself in one of the splendid bedrooms, beginning with a ground-floor double with a theme of sea blue, artwork adorning cream walls and tasteful furniture, as well as a great en-suite shower-room. A second bedroom with twin beds and delightful floral décor offers the perfect place for children to relax, and there is a great family bathroom where guests can enjoy a soak amongst the bubbles. Punctuated by lavender plants, a great decking area spans several levels within the rear garden, flowing down to a small lawn space and furniture so that you can enjoy al fresco breakfast or recline at the end of the day with a hot chocolate. The fantastic seaside resort of Lyme Regis offers you a great many activities to choose from, beginning with two museums, the Dinosaurland Fossil Museum and Lyme Regis Museum, where you can delve into the history of the area, and if you wish to explore the current occupants of the ocean, head over to Lyme Regis Marine Aquarium. Take a walk along the well-known Cobb Harbour or search for fossils amongst the rocky shoreline of Lyme Regis Fossil Beach before ending your day in one of the many eateries. With so much to do, you are bound to make a holiday to remember with a stay at Bay View.

The delightful seaside town of Lyme Regis has much to offer its visitors, boasting a maze of narrow streets filled with craft and antique shops, galleries and cafes. Take a stroll along the world-famous Cobb causeway overlooking the ancient harbour, where fishing trips can be enjoyed, or try your hand at fossil hunting in the area. It’s a good clean, comfortable base close to the seafront and shops. There is a steep hill to walk back to the flat. Most rooms have a sea view. The living room and conservatory are spacious, the kitchen was well equipped although the shelves in the oven didn’t fit so we’re unusable. The main bedroom is compact along with the en-suite and drawer space is lacking. The twin bedroom upstairs did have drawers as well as hanging space and there was a bigger sized bathroom. Having a parking space is a real bonus. The owner kindly left a cream tea for our arrival which was very thoughtful.

When we arrived there was a delicious food hamper with bread butter jam cheese crackers eggs wine, milk this was such a lovely touch after travelling 7 hours was much appreciated. On the whole this house is comfortable my only feedback would be the ensuite could do with an upgrade and the beds would benefit from a new mattress and bedding.

Things we loved: the views of the cliffs and bay (from the comfort of the sofa!), the garden (Bonnie the dog enjoyed it), the conservatory (great extra space), the parking spot and the close proximity to the town and seafront. Would definitely like to come back!
