Guests say

The Old School Room in Dorset receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfort, and peaceful setting. Guests appreciate the welcoming touches, such as fresh flowers and a welcome pack, and enjoy the property's quiet location, which is ideal for exploring the countryside and nearby attractions. While some mention minor issues with road noise and amenities, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests consistently note the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as spotless, well-equipped, and well-maintained. The attention to detail in this regard contributes significantly to the positive experiences reported.

The location is praised for its tranquility and proximity to local attractions and countryside walks. However, some guests mention difficulty finding the property and navigating narrow lanes, which slightly impacts the score.

The majority of guests find the cottage comfortable, with a relaxing atmosphere and quiet nights. A few comments about the bed's firmness and road noise are noted, but these are exceptions rather than the rule.

Facilities are generally well-received, with guests appreciating the well-equipped cottage. Some minor feedback on maintenance issues like the bathroom extractor fan and a desire for larger cooking pans slightly lowers the score.

Guests frequently mention thoughtful touches such as fresh flowers and welcome packs. While these are highly appreciated, it is important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The rooms were spacious and airy. We enjoyed staying in the property and the flowers, milk and biscuits on arrival were a nice touch. It was a good base with which to explore Dorset and the surrounding area. The two dogs, Tilly and Stella were delightful.

The accommodation was good overall but the bed was, for us, a little on the small side and somewhat hard. The flowers and tea coffee milk and biscuits were a nice touch biscuits.

Centrally located for access to all parts of the stunning Dorset countryside- indeed set right in the middle of a beauty in its own right. Clean, comfortable and a perfect setting to relax.
