This beautifully decorated, self-catering apartment provides everything you need for an enjoyable, comfortable holiday, making a lovely place to relax and rest between exploring all that Wolsingham and the surrounding area has to offer, and just a short walk from an array of pretty shops, pubs and restaurants. There is one comfortable bedroom with an en-suite shower room and an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen, lovely dining area and comfy sitting area. Why not go exploring in nearby Hamsterley Forest, hire a bike or a horse for the day and discover the beauty of nature at its finest? A short drive from Wolsingham will take you to a host of exciting local attractions including Barnard Castle, Bowes, High Force and Durham Cathedral.

A little further afield are the delights of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales or the Northumberland Heritage Coastline, or you can simply enjoy the hospitality of the town of Wolsingham. This charming apartment is perfect for couples to take a relaxing and romantic break with stunning countryside nearby.

The picturesque market town of Wolsingham sits at the entrance to Weardale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty nestled within the North Pennines. Boasting many period features and stone-built listed buildings, the town is a popular stop-off point for visitors at the base of the Weardale Valley. The town boasts a number of well-regarded pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as convenience shops and takeaways. It also has the Wolsingham Agricultural Show, held every year on the first weekend in September. Nearby is the village of Hamsterley which sits on the brow of a hill between Teesdale and Weardale, on the edge of the North Pennines. Boasting an old village pub, the village is just two miles from Hamsterley Forest, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which covers 2000 hectares of mixed woodland and has an abundance of wildlife.

    The location is ideal for exploring the Durham Dales. Ideal as a base for walking. We had no problem with parking nearby or traffic noise.

    Parking fine - two good stores right opposite. Excellent centre for walking (several walks from Wolsingham), quirky pubs nearby,travelling on Weardale Railway (10 min walk to station), visits to Beamish Museum (30 min travelling), High Force waterfall (one hour travelling - fantastic route over hills). Recommended!
