About this property

Tucked away in beautiful Dorset countryside, Chetnole Mill is charming and full of character with a wonderful inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove. It is the perfect holiday home for those looking for relaxation, or an opportunity to explore this picturesque area.

This former 18th Century mill has been converted to provide comfortable accommodation for up to five guests and is within easy reach of the local pub, a community green and children's play area. Located in a quiet rural setting, with views across the countryside, Chetnole Mill has been charmingly furnished with period and antique furniture pieces to create a cosy holiday home. There are opportunities for walks using footpaths and bridleways right from the front door and numerous quaint villages are within a short drive away, with the ever popular, and pretty town of Sherborne just 9 miles away.

The accommodation includes a sociable open-plan sitting room with inglenook fireplace and wood burning stove, and a kitchen with dining area. An internal window affords a wonderful opportunity for viewing the original working machinery of the mill and care has been taken to preserve its history. There is a spacious king-size bedroom with french doors to the courtyard garden located up three easy steps, and a family bathroom on this level also. A staircase from the entrance hall takes you up to a further twin bedroom, a single bedroom and a second bathroom with shower.

This unique holiday home is perfect for families or couples wishing to explore this special part of Dorset, and the Jurassic Coast is within easy reach for further adventures.
