Deep in the heart of Hardy Country, this charming detached property is an ideal spot for guests who are looking to explore the local area which is abundant with pretty villages and towns, the Jurassic Coast, plenty of beaches and sheltered coves which are all within a short drive. With easy access to the A37, there are also a wealth of other attractions to suit all tastes. Locally there are walks including through Melbury Park to the neighbouring village of Evershot with pub and shop. There are many Thomas Hardy locations (his mother was born and married in the village), Sherborne with its abbey and two castles, Montacute House, Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm museum, Haynes Motor Museum, the Cerne Giant and on the coast Abbotsbury, West Bay and Bridport, Weymouth and Lyme Regis. For more energetic activities, sailing is available on the nearby reservoir and golf enthusiasts can try out one of the nearby golf clubs in Yeovil or Sherborne.
