Guests say

Lilac Cottage is praised for its quintessential charm, comfortable furnishings, and excellent location close to the beach and local amenities. Guests appreciate the well-equipped facilities and the beautiful garden, making it a cosy retreat. While some cleanliness issues were noted, the overall experience is positive, with the village's friendliness and the property's convenience for exploring Dorset being highlights.

Several reviews mention cleanliness concerns, such as dust and cobwebs, which suggest room for improvement. However, other guests found the cottage to be spotless, indicating inconsistency in cleaning standards.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, local pubs, and scenic walks. The main road's busyness is a noted concern, but it does not significantly detract from the overall positive reception of the location.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as comfortable, with special mentions of the cosy interior, comfortable beds, and the warm, homely atmosphere.

The cottage is well-equipped and maintained, with guests appreciating the amenities provided. Some minor maintenance issues are noted, such as a broken toilet seat, but these are generally resolved quickly.

While guests express overall satisfaction with their stay, there is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate a level of thoughtfulness. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Burton Bradstock is a charming, dog-friendly village, very well serviced with two fantastic pubs, a friendly farm shop/post office; with further supplies available at the nearby petrol station. Many thanks for a super, much needed break.

We were comfortable in the house and loved Burton Bradstock. As the description says, the house is right on a very busy road so you have to be careful with young children and crossing the road. The traffic noise didn’t disturb us when we were in the house. The garden is really lovely and was a great space to sit out in when the sun was shining.
