Situated in a peaceful hamlet in the Marshwood Vale, West Dorset, The Stable is a single-storey, comfortable and stylish retreat. With a clever mix of contemporary styling and character features, including high beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls, the accommodation is bright and airy. On entering your holiday home, there is a generous open-plan sitting room with a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area, with french doors to the garden. The impressive king-size bedroom includes a feature bedstead and a second set of doors to the garden, with a separate well-appointed shower room.
The sheltered cottage garden is south-west facing and includes a seating terrace with a table and chairs, a feature olive tree and attractive planting, and a small lawned area. There are ample opportunities for countryside walks in all directions in this beautiful part of Dorset, and the nearby towns of Bridport and Beaminster are within easy reach. The Jurassic Coast is just a short drive away for excellent coastal walks or a day at the beach, and within easy reach are numerous quaint villages and market towns. Dorset's highest hill forts of Lewesdon Hill and Pilsdon Pen can be seen from The Stable, and are well worth the climb, offering outstanding views all across Dorset and Devon beyond.

We loved our stay, peaceful and quiet but close enough to everything when we wanted to explore. Having a secure, enclosed garden was great with the dog and also from a privacy perspective. The cottage had everything we needed for our long weekend including a comfortable bed and bedding - something which is often overlooked. We had a perfect stay.

We had a lovely stay at The Stable. The space was so lovely, clean and welcoming. The pictures don’t do it justice - it’s such a lovely space and the private garden is a massive plus especially if you have a dog. Camilla really was a "Superhost" with excellent, friendly communication. She went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. We really appreciated the information packs sent before our stay with local recommendations and guide information. We would love to come back! Thanks again Camilla.

We just enjoyed a lovely weekend at Camillas, the Stable conversion. It’s both cosy and spacious at the same time with a lovely Olive Tree courtyard (that our dog wanted to spend all her time relaxing in.) It really had everything we needed with great walks and pubs close by as well as being a short drive to the coast. Would highly recommend to any couple looking for a relaxing break.
