About this property

About this Property

A delightful character cottage set amongst similar older properties and only a few minutes walk from the town centre and beaches. Milton cottage is believed to date from the 19th century and still retains some of its historic character.  The pretty and un-spoilt Dorset seaside town of Lyme Regis has many independent shops, pubs, restaurants and cafes as well as a sandy beach, harbour and seafront promenade. It's a great destination for a relaxing, traditional seaside holiday. This is also the perfect base from which to explore the whole World Heritage Coast of West Dorset and East Devon.  The South West Coast Path passes close to this cottage and is well worth exploring in either direction.

Location

As well as a sandy beach and seafront promenade, Lyme Regis includes celebrity chef Mark Hix's superb Oyster and Seafood Restaurant, along with many other restaurants, cafes, pubs and tearooms. The town is a wonderful location for those seeking a traditional seaside break. A wide selection of independent shops, as well as an award winning museum, a small theatre and a cinema can be found. For the more adventurous the South West Coast Path heads west through the amazing Undercliff between Lyme Regis and Axmouth, or east towards Charmouth and the magnificent National Trust land at Golden Cap. If you are planning a holiday without a car, the mainline railway station in nearby Axminster is served by a regular bus service (or taxis), to and from the town.

There are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants, take-aways and pubs as well as three beaches and the famous Cob to explore.
