It's a beautiful seaside spot, ideal for family vacations, with plenty of opportunities to go fishing, crabbing, boating, and golfing, and lovely walks along the South West Coast Path. Check out Thomas Hardy's and TE Lawrence's residences, the Tank Museum in Bovington, and the Naval Air Museum in Yeovil. Bridport, the lively market town featured in River Cottage, is only 1.5 miles away. There are many places of interest in the neighbourhood that the whole family can enjoy. Charmouth, a popular spot for fossil hunters, Lyme Regis, a charming seaside town, and the River Cottage headquarters, located not far from Axminster, are all within easy driving distance to the West. You can find the golden sands of Weymouth to the east, as well as the beautiful Sub-tropical Gardens and Swannery at Abbotsbury. On arrival found parking space which is convenient to the property but not allocated so could be hit and miss at busier times. Kitchen was well equipped however we ate out and didn't cook. Nice touch with the welcome pack. Living room was cosy with TV and once heating sorted was good. For the shower a degree was needed in its operation, shower in our experience was very temperamental and despite having several settings only 1 would work when the pump eventually kicks in. The bedroom had plenty of storage area, bed comfy enough but is a small double and just not what we were used to, the blind in the bedroom could do with being changed to a black out blind due to the automatic light outside, made the bedroom very bright all night until we hung coats on the curtain pole. If you go to Corner Cove without great expectations then you will be ok

Also the guide to the property needs to say turn third left then drive between the garages for parking and property, it was raining heavily when we arrived and didnât spot the gap between the garages, so had to phone up. Very handy to visit Weymouth, Lyme Regis.

Having finally located the address among the run down car park and shabby rows of lock up garages the property did nothing to lift this gloomy setting. This property was so run down, tired and grubby that we decided not to stay and made the long drive home again an hour after our arrival. The mattress on the bed was so worn that you could actually feel the springs coming through. A basic requirement of any accommodation, regardless of its star rating, is a bed you can actually get a good nights sleep on. This property needs a serious update, deep clean and a bit of investment to replace the worn out furnishings. The property owner refused any compensation for our abandoned holiday and refused to acknowledge the dismal and unacceptable standard of the property. Avoid this place at all cost.
