Bridge Cottage in Bridport offers a quaint stay with its unique charm and ideal location close to local amenities and the beach. Guests appreciate the spacious kitchen, comfortable furnishings, and the pet-friendly environment. While some guests have concerns about maintenance and cleanliness, the property's character and proximity to scenic walks and pubs contribute to a generally pleasant holiday experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Cleanliness scores are impacted by several reviews mentioning unpleasant odours, dampness, and a lack of thorough cleaning. However, not all reviews reflect these issues, indicating inconsistency in cleanliness standards.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to the beach, scenic walks, and local amenities including pubs and shops. The village's beauty and the ease of accessing nearby attractions contribute to a high location score.

Comfort receives a positive response overall, with guests finding the beds and sofas comfortable and the property spacious. However, some concerns about the layout and the state of the patio slightly lower the score.

Facilities and maintenance have mixed reviews. Guests are pleased with the kitchen appliances and the size of the rooms, but issues with parking, shower facilities, and general upkeep are noted. The need for modernisation and repair is mentioned, affecting the score.

There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches in the reviews provided, so it is not possible to assess the thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, this score is set to null.

Before booking a holiday we always read the reviews. A previous customer had left a terrible review, but that didn’t deter our decision to book, and iam so pleased it didn’t. The location was spot on, literally a 2 minute drive to one of the best beaches weve visited. The accommodation was all open plan so as a family we could be together, having the conservatory meant having our own space too if we wanted. If we came back to this area we would definitely stay again. If we were to suggest something it would be a few more utensils and crockery in the kitchen, ie pasta/cereal bowls.

The holiday home sits within a complex of around 8 other permanent homes to both sides, above and behind. It is a period building and the decor reflects this, the facilities on the whole were good, especially in the kitchen, with a Large Country style range cooker and Smeg Fridge/Freezer. The main bed was comfortable and we slept well. The layout is indeed unique with twin bedroom off the open plan living / kitchen room, a rear large sunroom glass conservatory with access to the bathroom and main bedroom leading to the small slabbed yard. For any necessary grass required for a trained dog there is a park literally one minute walk away. The parking is clearly marked within the front parking area directly outside the accommodation and during our week everyone was ‘sensible’ in using the 6 marked bays, if you’re a decent driver it shouldn’t be an issue. A real positive within the complex was everyone we met who actually lives there was really pleasant, helpful and good to talk to. The interior photographs of the property represent the property well. The overriding positive factor is the location as the village is beautiful and the TWO pubs are fantastic, The 3 Horseshoes is 30 seconds away and serves great food, The ANCHOR INN is one minute walk away and serves SUPERB FOOD. The HIVE Beach restaurant is also great food in an amazing location on the beach. Virtually all the places were dog friendly. The unheard of 28’ ALL WEEK in September was amazing Cheers G&J.

The bathroom could do with a bit of modernization but apart from that we had a great stay! Thanks!
