Allocated parking for 1 car. No smoking.. The Retreat is a charming end terrace house, situated in the pretty village of West Lulworth, ideally positioned for easy access to the South West Coastal Path and Lulworth Cove.
Internally, the property has been refurbished, retaining many character features including exposed brick walls, AGA oven and a wood burner. Externally, the garden is situated on a steep gradient that makes the most of the surrounding countryside views, with a decked patio ideal for relaxing after a busy day exploring.
Situated in the heart of the village, the property is within a short walk of the village stores and a couple of pubs, including a 16th-century thatched tavern reputed to be one of the oldest public houses in Dorset.
Lulworth Cove is only half a mile from Durdle Door, an iconic natural Limestone Arch which has featured in several music videos, television productions and movies such as Nanny McPhee. The bustling seaside town of Weymouth can be reached within a 20-mile drive and offers an abundance of shops, cafés and restaurants.

House was comfortable but few things could be improved. Flue of the Aga was full of dust and dirt and obviously hadn’t been cleaned for a while. Toilet seat was wonky and not attached properly. Small towel holder the same. Both bedroom curtains were of poor quality and let light in early in the morning and not conducive to sleeping. Woke us up early because of this and blackout curtains would improve things. Tap in the kitchen was constantly dripping and would not turn off. We paid a substantial amount of money for the stay and were not happy with the strict instructions to strip the beds and put towels into bags to make the job of the cleaning personnel easier. Didn’t see this as the responsibility of guests to do.

Nicely furnished and clean two bedroom cottage in the heart of West Lulworth. Cottage has its own parking space and a pub nearby. Good accommodation, although the kitchen was far too hot this year due to the oil-fuelled Aga running continuously.Great location for coastal walks and a short walk to Lulworth Cove.
