Quietly tucked away off the main road, Lulworth Retreat boasts a private decking area with outdoor furniture and guests have exclusive use of the additional 3-acres of grassed lawn that surround the property, where the children can play with the sports equipment including basketball hoops, football nets and a tennis tale. Sit and relax in the summer sun and watch the little ones run off some steam with their four-legged companion and when the days draw to a close, head back inside and settle down in the living dining room and catch up on your favourite TV shows and plan your next day’s adventure. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cater for your party and home cooked meals can be enjoyed at the dining table where you can gather and reminisce of the days spent so far. When it’s time to retire, climb the stairs to find two well-presented bedrooms, comprising of one family room with a double bed and two sets of bunk beds, complete with an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC, and a further double bedroom served by a further bathroom with bath, overhead shower, basin and WC. Venture out and explore Wareham town’s 2000 years of history by taking a walk around the Wareham Walls to find out about the Viking attacks, civil war skirmishes and gruesome executions. Within 13 miles you have the bustling town of Dorchester, home to a traditional high street lined with a wide selection of well-known shops and complemented by lanes accommodating charming boutique shops and independent retailers. On the edge of Dorchester rests Maumbury Rings, a grassed Roman amphitheatre which is a lovely spot for a picnic, and in the summer months it becomes a great venue for music and theatre events. If you are looking for a day by the coast, head to Weymouth, boasting a magnificent, award-winning beach which is perfect for sunbathing and swimming, as well as offering attractions such as Punch and Judy, donkey rides and pedalos, plenty to keep the children occupied!
