Take an interesting trip to The Tank Museum in Bovington, home to a large collection of tanks including the first one ever built, it's a unique day out, and you may even see some of the tanks being test driven along local roads! Animal lovers won't want to miss visiting the amazing Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre, a haven for endangered apes in a wonderful open-air park, perfect for all ages! Venture down to the idyllic shores of Lulworth Cove for a beautiful day on the sands in this unusual land formation, marvel at the five different types of rock making up the interesting landscape, and capture a holiday snap next to the famous Durdle Door. Head along the South West Coast for beautiful walking trips, coming to seaside villages, hidden coves and stunning sea views along the way. Lulworth Castle is a wonderful day out; you can explore the extensive park lands and woodland walks, marvel at the 17th century castle and stop in at The Castle Tearoom for an afternoon treat. Often referred to as Dorset’s ‘lost’ village, Tyneham Village is also within easy reach, where only the memories of who used to live here now remain. For classic seaside fun you must visit Weymouth with all its attractions including SEA LIFE Centre, the beachfront amusements and arcades, crazy golf, brightly coloured beach huts and deck chairs and the gorgeous beach. Home to its own railway station and a stop on the handy Jurassic Coast bus, Wool makes a great base for a trip to Dorset.
