The Dovecote is an architect designed modern home located a short distance from Swanage town centre and the beach.
The Dovecote is a fresh and welcoming home with many personal touches to make sure guests enjoy their stay. The living space is open and light and benefits from being open plan to the kitchen and dining area making it a very sociable space to spend time in. The kitchen is well equipped to ensure you have everything you need and leads onto the dining space with table seating 6. From here the decked balcony is accessed which offers an extension to the inside entertaining area with dining and comfortable seating areas. Downstairs is a small and sheltered courtyard space with a Mediterranean feel.
With upside-down accommodation the bedrooms are located on the ground floor and are tucked away off an inner hall, The master bedroom is a generous size with a curved wall ending further interest and it has an en suite shower room. The twin bedroom is well decorated and has the use of the family bathroom which is also found on this level.

Just returned from a great stay at The Dovecote. The property was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The upstairs has the wow factor and was really spacious with a lovely outside balcony. We look forward to returning in future!

A really lovely property very well decorated internally by the owner with lots of tasteful touches. It's in a nice location, about 20 minutes walk from the beach, with a shop around 2 minutes walk away for any provisions you need during the holiday.

The Dovecote was an excellently appointed property on a quiet small exclusive estate an easy 10 -15 minute walk from the centre of Swanage and a couple of minutes from bus stop and local shop. The upside down layout of the house had nice views of the countryside and the well appointed roof terrace was a nice quiet place to sit or eat outside. The amenities were everything you could want, and when we had trouble understanding the tv set up, Original Cottages got a quick response from the owner who very kindly got in touch to help us through the explanation, which was really helpful and much appreciated. We really enjoyed our week in The Dovecote and wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend to others.
