Herston Rise is a well-liked cottage praised for its warm, comfortable atmosphere and convenient location for walks and local amenities. Guests appreciate the clean, well-equipped space and the sunny garden, making it a pleasant base for exploring the area. Some concerns were raised about maintenance and a pet-related odour, but overall, the cottage offers a charming and enjoyable stay.
The cottage is generally described as clean and tidy. However, there was a mention of a strong pet odour in the lounge area, suggesting room for improvement in dealing with pet-related cleanliness.
The location is well-received, with guests enjoying the proximity to walks, the town, and local attractions. The quiet residential area is appreciated, although parking can be challenging.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, highlighting the cosy garden and renovated bathroom. The bed was also noted to be very comfy. However, some guests experienced issues with allergies to feathers in the bedding.
The cottage is equipped for a pleasant stay, but guests noted a small fridge, limited freezer space, and a lack of a cafetiere. Concerns about outdated electrical safety certificates suggest a need for maintenance attention.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

We love this little cottage & have stayed here many times. Its position outside of the town is excellent for its range of walks both across country & along lanes to Corfe. & along the coastal paths. The cottage is well equipped, clean & warm with a pleasant enclosed small, sunny garden.
