About this property

Set on the wonderful Herston Yards Farm holiday park in Swanage, within the gorgeous Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, rests this lovely, picturesque, wood-built holiday lodge, Ash. Boasting an enclosed, wraparound decking with furniture and private hot tub, a tastefully-presented open-plan living space, and superb positioning to on-site amenities and facilities, this charming home welcomes a family or group of seven, and their well-behaved dog, for a relaxing, self-catered escape near the idyllic Dorset coastline. Make yourself comfortable in your new home-from-home, by getting to work in the property's fully-equipped kitchen space, complete with all the utensils you'll need to whip up a tasty, home-cooked meal. Savour your dinners at the dining table or outside on the decking when the sun is shining overhead. When you're ready, take a relaxing, long soak in the outdoor hot tub, and watch as day rolls into night and the stars begin to stud the dreamy night-time sky. When sleep calls, treat yourself to a rejuvenating wash in the whirlpool bathtub before you retire for a well-earned rest in any of three plush bedrooms. After sipping your coffee on the outdoor decking, head out to explore your local surroundings. Head over to The Shop, an on-site store filled with all the essentials you'll need during your stay. If you're hungry, enjoy a hearty spot of lunch at The Old Mess Room, which is also located on the holiday park. A short drive from your accommodation will take you to the seaside town of Swanage, where you and your loved ones can hop aboard the historic Swanage Railway, enjoy the stunning vista of Swanage Bay, or even embark on a peaceful stroll along the calm location of Swanage Pier. For an unforgettable holiday in Dorset, look no further than Ash.

Swanage is a small, family-friendly beach town on the renowned Isle of Purbeck, at the eastern extremity of Dorset's renowned Jurassic Coast. Swanage is arguably best known for its lovely, gently sloping golden sands. The small town is well renowned for its annual jazz festival, which is held in July, and for its abundance of stores, fine taverns, and restaurants, some of which specialise in locally caught seafood. The charming Victorian wooden pier is a lovely spot to promenade, go fishing, or just sit and take in the sights. It's also a popular starting point for divers. Regular vintage steam engine excursions transport tourists on a charming 6-mile journey, chugging through gorgeous countryside to stop just beyond the romantic ruin of Corfe Castle, from the town's terminal on the historic Swanage Railway. With beautiful coastline walks, dolphin sightings, and wildlife viewing in addition to comfortable viewing areas and a well-stocked cafe for a treat after all the fresh air, nearby Durlston Country Park makes for a fantastic day out. Take the frequent chain ferry that travels over the mouth of Poole Harbour to Sandbanks and the short drive to Studland, which has one of the best beaches in the nation and is bordered by heathland. Any time of year, you can have a wonderful holiday here.
