There is a children's play area and a field with cricket and football equipment in the community as well. Good Wi-Fi and TV. Although I was aware that there were no cooking facilities or sink - other than a microwave & toaster - this proved a problem as many of the local pubs were closed on Mondays & Tuesdays. Many of those did not serve food due to staffing shortages when they were open. I’m sure there are pubs serving good food but they were few & far between. In view of this I would have welcomed the chance to cook. On the plus side the whole area is beautifully unspoiled with lots of lovely walks in lovely countryside - along the river Stour & hills including spectacular Roman hill forts. Very little traffic unless you venture towards the coast.
