However, I feel the accommodation overall was a little disappointing. On the positive side it was spacious, easy parking, warm, plenty of hot water, comfortable beds and reasonable shower. On the negative side it felt a little neglected, furniture was shabby, one dining chair broken, grubby oven, some of the kitchen equipment had seen better days, bed linen marked with black dots and several light bulbs not working. I had requested the twin beds be zipped together but obviously that message didn’t get through to the right person. The outside was not fenced, fortunately we didn’t have a dog. In my opinion the place has a good deal of potential which has not been fully realised.

Furnishings I'd describe as tired. Settees are low for people who've had replacement hip and knee surgery. We didn't like the plastic bowls in the kitchen so bought ourselves new cereal bowls .

Bit worried to find the water turned off on arrival and no response from the local contact but found the “tap” without too much difficulty. Dog friendly but not dog secure as there is no fenced garden. And cottage not very secure as the front door could clearly be opened within a second! Beds, shower and kitchen all fine but settees rather uncomfortable
