To the rear of the cottage is a vast woodland with a small lake capturing some of the best sights Dorset has to offer on your doorstep. It is perfect for couples. The property opens to an open plan living room with a TV and WiFi, a dining area and fitted kitchen. It has one double bedroom with an adjacent shower room and WC. There is a private courtyard with furniture and access to the chiminea. Its surrounding area offers many footpaths which lead around the lake to Milton Abbey. Not to forget the magnificent view from Bulbarrow Hill which reaches across Wessex. It is within driving distance of the Georgian market town of Blandford and stretch of the Jurassic coastline. Further afield lies the village of Milborne St. Andrew, the valley is named for the seasonal stream which runs from springs high up on the chalk downs, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, offering glorious walks and superb views. Discover Dorchester; a vibrant town for sightseeing and shopping but also home to Dorchester's museums and shops, walk the walks, drink great coffee, eat great food and take trips to the Jurassic coast. Lovely place to stay if you have good weather would have loved to have used the little garden but we chose a very bad week with rain

The off road parking was very necessary in Milton Abbas, which is very pretty, but only one main road.

Fantastic area of Dorset for exploring both East and West with the coast within 10 miles. The Engine Room was exactly what we was looking for and Sharon the owner was very welcoming on arrival.
