Enjoy a family holiday in the beautiful Dorset countryside. This property would be perfect for a small group who loves the great outdoors and can’t wait to spend their time having BBQs, swimming in the sea and exploring ancient ruins. You’ll be staying in a place with plenty of home comforts and a few extra-special touches.

The cottage is all on one level. When you enter, you’ll see a lounge/diner, a charming social space which can be made cosy by lighting the wood burner. You can organise movie nights, play board games or all read together after a busy day of adventuring. The kitchen conveniently connects to the lounge/diner. There’s plenty of space to store food, and all the equipment you might need to cook feasts or prepare picnics. This property has two bedrooms, a double and a twin, both comfortable and simply decorated. Finally, there’s a family shower room. You’ll have a private patio garden, where you can make delicious pizza in the outdoor oven or use the BBQ, then eat in the outdoor dining area. If you’d like some quiet time, make use of the summer house.

From the cottage you can see stretching farmland, and it’s easy to go for walks straight from the front door. Head to Blandford Forum, 3.5 miles, for supplies and eateries, plus the River Stour. Poole is also close by, 14.5 miles, if you’d like a day out and to see the sea. Historians and hikers are sure to have a great time at Knowlton Church and Earthworks, 14.5 miles.
