Nestled in an idyllic location just 1 mile’s walk from the village of Hatherleigh, this fantastic property promises an unforgettable escape to guests. Stylish and contemporary with superb views from the top of the tower, this stunning folly is an opportunity to get away from busy life and spend days walking and nights stargazing. Wake up with lots of natural light from the large doors, grab your morning coffee and head up to the decked viewing platform and take in the countryside from every angle.
Whether you’re off down the Tarka Trail that you can join just 1 mile away or you’re sizzling up a BBQ on the patio, you’ll find your own way to unwind here. The interiors are fresh and bright yet complement the age of the building with pretty white and grey tones dotted among the exposed wood beams. Snuggle up on the sofa together in front of the TV, or pull out the sofa bed to put your feet up or drift off to sleep. Gorgeous neutral tiles in the wet room style shower room make it a pleasure to take an invigorating shower before heading out for the day.
There’s a brilliant circular 4-mile walk that starts near the local pub in Hatherleigh (1 mile) and takes you on the Tarka Trail with views of Hatherleigh Moor, Dartmoor, and Hatherleigh Monument. If you’d prefer a garden, RHS Rosemoor (14 miles) is worth a wander around beautiful roses and shrubs; Clovelly (24.5 miles) is worth the longer drive for its court gardens but also the harbour, cobbled streets and shops. Witness the deepest natural gorge in the south west at Lydford Gorge (17 miles) with its 30-metre waterfall and wonderful wildlife. Regret no infants due to the compact size of the property and open roof space.
