Cornflower is a beautifully presented lodge in a peaceful countryside setting, ideal for relaxing or exploring Devon and Cornwall. Guests praise its cleanliness, well-equipped kitchen, and unique layout with en suite bedrooms. The hot tub and field views are particular highlights. While most found the property comfortable and well-maintained, a few noted issues with mattresses and a shower drain smell. The location is tranquil, though some amenities require a short drive. Overall, guests enjoyed their stay and recommend the property for a restful break.

Multiple guests commented on the high standard of cleanliness throughout the lodge, describing it as 'really clean' and 'very clean and well equipped.' Only one review mentioned an issue with a drain smell in one ensuite, but this did not reflect the overall cleanliness of the property.

The property is praised for its quiet, countryside location with lovely views and a relaxing atmosphere. While it is a little distance from supermarkets, guests appreciated the proximity to a good farm shop and found it well-placed for exploring the region.

Guests generally found the lodge comfortable, enjoying the layout and en suite bedrooms. However, several reviews mentioned that the mattresses and some pillows could be improved, and one guest found the beds a bit uncomfortable.

The lodge is well-equipped with modern amenities such as a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a highly praised hot tub. The kitchen has everything needed for a self-catering stay, and the overall facilities contributed to a positive experience. One maintenance issue with a shower drain was noted.

Unfortunately, the owners of the property were aware of a problem with the shower drains and had not rectified the issue when we arrived. We lived with a rather unpleasant drain smell in one the rooms coming from the ensuite shower, all week long. If the owners had acknowledged this issue, the review might have been better. The location was quiet, in the countryside with reasonable views, although a large wind-generator was only a few hundred feet away on the hill overlooking the property. The accommodation was very good with a number of luxury facilities.Unfortunately, we cannot recommend the property for the reasons provided.

Beautiful quiet location, very clean and well equipped. We did find that the mattresses and some of the pillows are in need of replacement. Luckily, we were only using one room, so we chose the best. Loved the hot tub. Had to travel a bit for a supermarket but the local farm shop is excellent. Lots of interesting places to visit and fabulous walks.
