Great Central location to use as a base with Dartmoor on the doorstep. Just an hours drive to south coast favorites Salcombe or Polperro, 30 minutes to Plymouth Hoe. 10 minutes to Tavistock, or just an hour up to north coast and Bude etc Very nice modern and clean user friendly studio apartment. Great hosts. Great value in our view.

We have stayed at Magpies Rest several times and it never disappoints.And its pet friendly!! Spotlessly clean, well equiped kitchen, great shower and bathroom, very comfortable bed and everything else a couple could want. Great location for accessing Drakes Trail and Dartmoor. Short drive into the pretty market town of Tavistock (great shops, cafes etc) or the village of Horrabridge in the other direction. Definitely highly recommended and we will certainly return again.

The annex on top of the garage is lovely in such a lovely location close to amenities and also not too far from Cornwall which is amazing. Also attended with a dog and having the drake trail behind was unreal so beautiful and picturesque. Really liked that Nick popped up to introduce himself and asked how the journey was etc and also said goodbye to us and asked if everything was okay. Made him easily approachable if we wanted/needed anything which he offered when first arriving.
