The cottage is cosy and olde worlde. Getting up at night for the bathroom was slightly awkward as the upstairs loo is through /in one of the bedrooms, and the downstairs bathroom is a long way in the night, just to be aware it’s a very old cottage with a steep staircase. I would definitely stay here again. Walked 5 miles a day for dementia and the roads were very quiet, Buckland Abbey Nat Trust estate just up the road. Dartmoor is very beautiful.

The cottage is warm and cosy and has a well-equipped kitchen with a washing machine, although no dryer. The beds are comfortable and it's very quiet at night. There's a lovely pub just over the road and everyone in the village we met was friendly and helpful.

There was no wood for the wood-burner, but this wasn't a major issue. We had a lovely stay and would be happy to recommend and re-book this property again.
