Great stay!

I did enjoy my stay at Magpie's Rest, despite bringing a bit of a cold with me. Checking in was easy and the hosts were always available should I need anything, before and during my stay,Plenty of space for a single person or couple. A very well maintained flat (much nicer than where I call home) with one designated parking space. Easy to find and with direct access to footpaths and Drake's Trail behind, with a private access gate.Being close to the A386, you can expect to hear traffic passing and especially during rush hour. But this only passing traffic. You do not hear Boy Racers speeding up, slowing down or screeching around corners! It's not akin to town or city traffic.I did feel that the area around the sink was a bit dark, in the evenings with the window drawn shut. Using the light on the extractor hood helped. Otherwise, the space it very well lit by a selection of spotlight arrangements.I'd happily stay here again. My 5 nights passed by very quickly!

Clare the host was very communicative and delightful. The apartment had everything you needed and was spotlesly clean. I felt very at home! Thank you! There is an acces out of the rear of the balcony on to Dartmoor which was wonderful for myself and my little dog Monty.. Its very close to Tavistock to stock up on groceries. And the town looked like it was worth a visit, very pretty, though didnt get there only drove through. I would definitely recommend!
