About this property

Take a break to this charming barn conversion for a romantic retreat or a family holiday and you’ll be able to explore the River Tamar and Dartmoor National Park on a whole host of walks. At the end of each day, you’ll be able to return to your single-storey holiday home and soak in serene views from the floor-to-ceiling windows situated in front of the sofas for ultimate relaxation.

At the heart of the home is the open-plan living room/kitchen/diner, decorated in calming pastel colours to help you unwind. A soft sofa and two armchairs ensure plenty of space to sprawl out to watch a film or get lost in a good book, whilst the dining table is the perfect place to gather around to share stories over a meal enjoying the countryside scenery. The kitchen is compact yet offers everything you’ll need to fix up a feast for the family, or simply serve up a takeaway as an indulgent treat. The family bathroom features a blissful freestanding bathtub which is ideal for end-of-day bubble baths, as well as a walk-in shower. The master bedroom is an elegant double with light, bright windows, accompanied by a playful twin which is well-suited to children. Slide open the doors and step outside to breathe in the fresh countryside air from the elevated deck each morning for a great start to the day. Two recliners and a table and chairs offer a comfortable seat where you can enjoy the great outdoors, whilst the generous lawn is a fantastic spot for garden games.

Pack a picnic and venture to Dartmoor National Park (7 miles) to search for the iconic Dartmoor ponies and rock formations, with more than 160 tors found throughout the vast moorland. Pay a visit to the city of Plymouth and you’ll be able to hop aboard a number of wonderful wildlife boat trips, head to the National Marine Aquarium or swim at the Lido to experience the best of Britain’s Ocean City.

Such a beautiful place, wish we would have booked for longer. We will 100% be back soon to explore more of the area and lovely pubs (The Crooked Inn, Saltash, was a personal favourite). Thank you so much. See you soon. Kie, Han, & Dots
