Many walks can be taken from the Daffodil Shed doorstep. Just upstream from Bere Alston on the river Tamar is Morwellham Quay, a tiny harbour where half the world’s copper travelled through in the 1860s, and which is now a popular visitor attraction telling the story of copper mining through history. Here there is also the renowned Ship Inn. Close to the Daffodil Shed there are two popular National Trust properties, Cotehele and Buckland Abbey. It does help if you use the "what3words" app. Very neat and tidy. A short drive into the village.
