Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews consistently mention the property being clean and well-maintained, suggesting high standards of cleanliness that contribute to the overall positive experience of the guests.

The property is described as quiet and rural, ideal for guests looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. While the remote setting is appreciated by many, the need to travel for amenities and the mention of a small hill to the village shop suggest that the location may not suit everyone.

Guests find the house warm, cosy, and comfortable, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The presence of games and a large garden adds to the comfort of the stay, although there is a single mention of a small shower which suggests a slight room for improvement.

The property is generally well-equipped, but some guests noted a lack of kitchen equipment and issues with shower temperature control. The mention of heating problems by one guest also suggests that while facilities are good, there is some room for improvement.

The welcome pack and holiday decorations are frequently mentioned and appreciated by guests, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

About this property

Off-road parking spaces will greet you upon arrival, alongside trickling sounds of the nearby stream, before stepping into the conservatory, hanging your jackets on the rack and marvelling at the original farmhouse doorbell that actually rings! Spend your down time in the lounge, snuggling upon the leather chesterfield sofa before the electric wood effect fire, while a Smart TV with Sky offers a range of entertainment. Carry the conversation into the spacious dining room, where you can prepare the table with crockery and cutlery while the chef of the group gets to work in the amply-equipped kitchen. Both the dining room and the sitting room enjoy the sumptuous touch of chandeliers, adding to the bright and convivial feel of the spaces. There’s also a handy utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, ideal for when your adventures take off on a muddier route! This is our second year here after coming at the same time last year, and it’s just as lovely as we remembered. A homely house with lots of space and a great, secure outdoor space for children and dogs to explore. The Vale was very well equipped and in a great location for us. We will see you again next year! :)

Super welcome pack. Very clean property and well equipped. Nice garden, so well set-up for children. Only slight negative is that showers run hot/cold if other water being used at same time but no huge problem. Definitely a lovely place to stay, very peaceful/rural. Would recommend.
