With off-road parking, well-laid out, traditional interiors, and superb proximity to the nearby Dartmoor National Park, this tasteful property welcomes a family of four and their furry companions for a self-catered, rural escape to the heart of Devon. Park up, unpack, and make yourself at home in your new lodgings by setting up in the well-equipped kitchen, where you will find everything you need to prepare a delicious, home-cooked feast for the whole group to savour at the dining table or alfresco in the enclosed rear garden during the warmer months. In the evenings, gather in the sitting room with your loved ones to enjoy a film on the Smart TV before indulging in a rejuvenating bath on your way to retiring for a well-earned sleep in one of two, plush bedrooms. After you've taken the dogs out for a run in the adjacent rear paddock, take time to venture out and explore your local area by stopping into the nearby village of Sheepwash, where you can stock up on supplies at the Sheepwash Community Shop & Post Office before settling down for a pub lunch at The Half Moon Inn. Be sure to spend time traversing the many scenic walkways of the Halsdon Nature Reserve on your way to Great Torrington, which is a brief car journey away, and home to the Great Torrington Museum, whilst the tranquil spot of RHS Garden Rosemoor lies just a short distance outside of town. Your trip to Devon would be incomplete without spending time in the Dartmoor National Park, which is home to a plethora of amazing landmarks, such as the Sittaford Stone Circle, the Becky Falls Ancient Woodland Park, Wistman's Wood nature reserve, and the National Trust spot of Hembury and Holne Woods - all are worth your time whilst visiting the region. Whatever you choose to do during your next stay in Devon, be sure to do it from the charming base of Glebe Farm Cottage.

The Devon settlement of Sheepwash is located in the serene Torridge Valley. A shop and a welcoming traditional tavern offering delicious meals and locally made ales are available in the village. With its prime location in Ruby Trail Country and convenient access to the Tarka Trail and the seashore, Sheepwash is perfect for those who enjoy walking and the great outdoors. Take a stroll along the River Torridge, where you might see a family of otters and a few kingfishers. The coastal villages of Bude, Clovelly, Bideford, and Westward Ho!, where you can enjoy typical beach activities, surfing, and the South West coastal walk, are just a few of the interesting locations nearby. A good variety of tourist attractions, perfect for families or couples, like the Big Sheep at Bideford, Trethorne Leisure Farm at Launceston, the Miniature Pony Centre at Moretonhampstead, the Eden Project, and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are all within driving distance. the cottage was cosy and clean. the kitchen cupboards was fill up with too much plates and chine. so we had no room for our tins of food and cereal for the week. and the fridge freezer was fill up with the owners frozen food. no pegs with the washing machine the kitchen needs a sort out and it be lovely.

Beds were comfy and the cottage was clean overall. It would have benefitted us to have something outside like a washing line or airer to dry wetsuits etc but this isn’t going to affect to everyone and is a minor point. The cottage would benefit greatly to have access to a hoover just to keep on top of the hair situation on a daily basis if you’re bringing your dogs with you. Overall we had a lovely stay at Glebe Cottage and would return. If you are looking for some no frills peace and quiet in lovely rural surroundings this could be right up your street.
