Chaffinch Lodge is highly praised for its tranquil and beautiful setting, with guests enjoying the surrounding wildlife, fishing lakes, and walks. The lodge is described as clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, providing a peaceful retreat. While most reviews are positive, a few guests noted issues with cleanliness and maintenance, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
Most guests found the lodge to be clean and well-presented. However, there were a few reports of cleanliness issues such as stained bed linen, leftover food, and dog hairs, which slightly lower the score.
The location is consistently lauded for its peace, beauty, and proximity to nature, with many guests appreciating the quiet and the opportunity to disconnect. The scenic views and wildlife contribute to a high score.
Guests generally found the lodge to be comfortable and spacious, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Some concerns were raised about mattress comfort, which slightly affects the score.
The lodge is praised for its facilities, including fishing opportunities and well-equipped kitchens. However, some guests experienced issues with ongoing construction and a lack of enclosed areas for pets, leading to a slightly reduced score.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

The cabin is exceptional and has everything you need. The owners Nick and Tracey very friendly and helpful, Nicks fishing knowledge was top notch, lots of tales from years gone by. fishing is very good, weather was a bit against me but still caught some of the nice carp, our dog loved the walks around the lakes and woods, a return visit is already in the planning for next year.
